All OFC fencers must have a valid USA Fencing membership for insurance purposes.
Beginners can obtain a temporary membership which is valid for 90 days using this form.
Fencers continuing on beyond the beginners class will need to upgrade to an annual membership.
Please follow the steps below to obtain an annual membership for your child.

Competitive memberships are required to compete in any USA Fencing sanctioned event (exception are Access members. They can compete in local tournament without upgrading.) The Access Membership is for a wide range of individuals within the fencing community. Access members can compete at all sanctioned local tournaments. In addition, you are eligible to vote in all USA Fencing division and national elections (must be 18 and current as of February 1), gain free admission to all USA Fencing National tournaments and receive a digital edition of American Fencing magazine. *In order to compete at Regional or National tournaments, Access Members must upgrade to the Competitive membership.
Our Yearly Competitive Membership is good for the USA Fencing season from Aug. 1 through July 31. The competitive membership valid for all USA Fencing-sanctioned competitions.
College students can enjoy the same benefits of the full Competitive membership at a special discounted price. In order for this membership to be valid, you must be a member of a current USA Fencing NCAA or college club team.
For members who coach, this membership has the same privileges as a competitive member and additionally receive the benefit of a professional general liability policy. Includes background screen and Safe Sport training.
Life membership is valid for the lifetime of the member. This membership includes the same benefits as a competitive membership but is a one-time payment.
Allows the member up to 10 years of regular installment payments towards a Life Membership.
There is a $10 fee for all paper membership forms. Save money and time by joining online. Please note there may be a delay in the complete processing of your membership if emailed. It is always preferable to join or renew online.
Please note, Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Fencers can check their status for qualification purposes on the USA Fencing website, but here are the qualifying paths for each division.
It’s highly recommended that fencers work closely with their coaches to create a plan and find ways that individually suit them, to qualify.

RYC POINTS FORMULA: Using the formula below, RYC tournaments will award points to all participants: (# entries – place + 1) /# entries) x 100 points
When there is a mixed-gender Youth competition, points are not separated out by gender.
SYC POINTS FORMULA: The Super Youth Circuit (SYC) competitions will award national points at .8 of the NAC/Championship points table to precisely the top 40 percent of the competitive field (rounded up to the next higher integer) to a maximum of 64th place.
For example: Field = 100 fencers therefore 40 fencers earn national points
Field = 103 fencers therefore 42 fencers earn national points (40 percent =4.2 Field = 200 fencers therefore 64 fencers earn national points (40 percent = 80 but awarding points is capped at 64th place)
In all SYC Youth events, 3 fencers must compete in order for points to be awarded.
