March 11-14, 2016 North American Cup – Salt Lake City, UT

Congratulations to Basis San Antonio student 10 year old Leo Cheong for his excellent performance at North American Cup in Salt Lake City on March 12th.  Leo captured 6th place Finalist medal in Youth 10 Men’s Epee event.  This was Leo’s very first medal from North American Cup and we are so very proud of him.  Congratulations Leo!!!

February 19-21, 2016 Super Youth Circuit fencing National tournament in Austin, TX

Congratulations to Isaac, Lulu and Ricky who came back from Super Youth Circuit fencing National tournament in Austin, TX with medals!  Cambridge Elementary 10 year old student Isaac Oden won the Gold Medal in Youth 10 Men’s Epee event. At the Women’s Youth 10 event, 10 years old Basis San Antonio student Lulu McCutchen won the Silver Medal.  Basis San Antonio student 11 year old Ricky Gonzalez finished 3rd and received the Bronze medal in Youth 12 Men’s Epee event.  ...

January 30, 2016 – Junior World Cup – Burgos, Spain

We are very proud to announce and congratulate our 17 year old OLYMPIAN FENCING CLUB fencer from Saint Mary’s Hall School Farrah Lee-Elabd who represented USA at the World Cup in Burgos, Spain and won Bronze medal.  Farrah competed against the top 167 Junior Women’s Epee fencers from around the World.  Congratulations Farrah, we are very proud of you in your accomplishment and proudly representing US at the Junior World Cup in Spain!

We are proud to celebrate our Olympian college-bound fencers Farrah Lee Elabd and Robin Cheong who will be attending Princeton University and Stanford University (Class of 2020) respectively.  Farrah and Robin are both seniors at Saint Mary’s Hall.  Their outstanding academic achievements combined with their passion for fencing enabled each student to be recruited to the Division 1 fencing college of their choice.  Farrah and Robin have been fencing since the age of 8 and 10 respectively.  Both are “A” ...
