Olympian Brings Home Success at Fencing NAC 2013 in Richmond

Olympian had multiple fencers take on Richmond this spring and had great success. We are happy to announce to you that we returned with two medals: Farrah Lee-Elabd won Gold in Y14 women’s epee and Brandon Benavides won 7th place Finalist medal in Y12.

We were very close to several more medals for Y10 men’s epee, but we all know it is a competition and some times it doesn’t go the way we want. I’m sure we’ll get more at the upcoming Summer Nationals in Columbus in July.

Also, I would like to congratulate Robin Cheong for participating in the Div 1 Nationals which is the strongest competition in the United States and he was the youngest (14 years old) to qualify and participate. Congratulations to all of our fencers that participated in the Richmond NAC, everyone is showing progress and we are very proud of all of them!!!

Look for our photos from the event to be posted soon.
